Why Wait? We Offer Same-Day Crowns
Accidents happen, and teeth can get chipped or cracked. Or maybe you have a long-standing cavity. A dental crown can solve all these problems, and thanks to our advanced technology, you can restore your smile during one office visit.

Dental crowns can transform your smile, whether an injury chipped your tooth or you have an extreme cavity. When you’re embarrassed by your appearance or in pain, you shouldn’t have to wait weeks for your new crown.

That’s why the skilled team at Fremaux Dental Care offers same-day crowns. Are you wondering how you can get a crown in one office visit when a traditional crown takes weeks? Keep reading to find out.

The many roles of dental crowns

Dental crowns are strong, look like your natural teeth, and completely cover the existing tooth. These qualities give them the unique ability to solve cosmetic problems and protect and restore your natural teeth.

We often recommend a dental crown for patients needing to:

  • Restore a significantly decayed tooth
  • Strengthen and preserve cracked or broken teeth
  • Protect a tooth after a root canal
  • Restore a tooth’s natural shape
  • Cover stained teeth
  • Fill in a gap between teeth
  • Improve the appearance of slightly crooked teeth

The only downside is that crowns require a long, drawn out process and multiple visits to the office. At least, that’s what happens when you get the traditional crowns offered by many dentists.

But we don’t follow the crowd.

Here at Fremaux Dental Care, you only need one office visit. By the time you leave the office, you will have a beautiful, permanent crown.

How we deliver same-day crowns

We deliver same-day crowns using advanced CEREC (chairside economical restoration of esthetic ceramic) technology. The best way to highlight the advantage of same-day crowns is to compare traditional crowns with what you can expect during the CEREC process.

Traditional crowns

When you get a crown through the traditional process, you can count on at least two office visits. During your first visit, the dentist prepares the tooth, takes an impression of your mouth, chooses the crown’s color, and gives you a temporary crown. Then you go home and the information goes to the lab producing your crown.

Weeks later, the lab sends us the finished crown. Then the office calls you and schedules your second appointment to attach the crown — hoping that it fits properly. If it doesn’t fit, the dentist needs to take care of time-consuming adjustments that may require a third office visit.

CEREC same-day crowns

You won’t need a temp crown or wait weeks to get your new crown because we take care of the entire process in one visit. How can we do that? With digital imaging, advanced computer software, and the CEREC fabrication machine (which we have here in the office).

We prepare your tooth to support the crown, then use digital imaging to take a 3D scan of your mouth. The digital image goes directly to the fabrication device, and it immediately creates your permanent crown from a block of high-quality ceramic that matches your natural tooth color.

CEREC is highly accurate, producing a crown that’s a perfect fit in a very short time. As soon as the crown is ready, we polish it, cement it to the tooth, and you’re ready to leave the office.
